web3.0 is for me:- semantics (individuals in social communities will solve this)- commerce in social networks- context sensitive situations, very individual- sex degrees of separation is valid for people but also for information, thus making search enginges useless- tagging will lead to new structures and understanding between people
what are the defferent between web2.0 and web3.0
whats are the defferent web2 and web3
Hello, Altough I was a bit late to discover web 1.0 (easy websites, no interactivity) some years ago, web 2.0 allow every "internaute" to be active on the web. He can write comments and start interacting with others in blogs. This has been considered for years as only a sentimental writing of 12 year olds, but since the war broke out in Iracq, journalists use blogs to publicize their articles, newspapers take advantage of blogs to have their readers to react (e.g. on political subjects in Belgium). Another very useful application are the networking sites such as LinkedIn, Xing or others. New business arizes from it, connections happens all over the countries. A last web 2.0 application are all the collaborative tools like NetMeeting, Skype and so on allowing one to talk, work. And finaly, a nice way of collaborating, creating together are applications such as second live, where even a small country such as Luxembourg has it's presence. Luxe
It's not Web2.0 or Web3.0 but the concept is the Semantic Web that TBL (Tim Berners-Lee) outlined a decade ago. In a way, you can look at his Semantic Stack and predict the future:I'd say we're about level 2 of his semantic stack.http://www.w3.org/2000/Talks/1206-xml2k-tbl/slide10-0.htmlIf you do some homework and begin to understand what he is saying, you may be able to predict the next wave of applications and services. That being said, here is an excellent comparison by Bill O'Reilly in terms of how services have changed in 10 years:http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/oreilly/tim/news/2005/09/30/what-is-web-20.html
@NicolasTNicolas, I think that the first question you have to ask is 'How can I offer a maximal value to the users of my site'. If the answer to this question is a simple Forum, then you should use a forum. If the answer is that tags add value, please do introduce tags. I do like lots of the innovations in user interface and user experience from 'Web 2.0', and some things (tags, tagclouds, ...) do add value. But, for example in this site, tags were used to mimic a Forum, where I do think that a Forum would be more interesting to structure the discussions. On the other hand ... you cannot have innovation without trying new things out ...
Philip: Does this imply non-"web2.0" (whatever this might be) got no real value for the intended user group? I don't really like the "web2.0" thing, as there's no "new web" at all, we're just building new applications using technologies that have been driving the WorldWideWeb for ages already. "User input" is not something new either, think about BB's, mailinglists,... The user interface changed, the actual application didn't. Sadly enough, you need to label your brand new webapp "web2.0 ready", or nobody takes note.
@cyryl (ps: by the way, what is - according to you the difference between web2.0 and web3.0 ...)
I think it doesn't matter whether you call your website web2.0 or web3.0 or whatever. The technology and philosophy behind a website is less important than whether or not you offer a real value to your intended user group.
