the word innovation is to trendy, it's a hype, nothing is innovative, everything already exists, one has just to see it and he is discovering that he found something new for his mind. As we all life in the same world we all have the same mind. Just take the time to look around associate what you see and you will find new things to do and to create. Everything is just in front of your eyes. Open them, learn to look, you will see what you never saw before. Nice things but also bad things. Set your mind to look of the box. Break your traditional way of thinking and looking. This is inventing, because nobody invents something, it is there for does who took the risk to think and look different.

Who is interested in particpating in the manufacturing of an innovative automobile item?
It would interest any manufacturing firm of front cabin items and would serve to protect drivers in strong sunlight. No actual product in the automobile trade has this profile.
A patent is pending. Contact me at jmromalo2004@yahoo.de

One could differentiate between incremental innovation (i.e. taking a step further in an existing product/service/process - e.g. the IPhone), radical innovation (doing something really new - e.g. LED's) and disruptive innovation (innovations which are radical, and which do change the world and the way business is done - e.g. the Internet).

I think that the Japanese have the right idea of innovation. It is the constant and enduring activity of changing what you make or do to become more effective or efficient at what you do or make things that are more beautiful, ergonomic or useful.
In that sense the IPhone is an innovation for the IPod, the mobile phone and the personal digital assistent.
But if you see innovation as the next big new product that creates a complete new market for itself, the IPhone is a joke compared to the first electronic computer ever built. Besides only hypes get an overnight market, but they also loose that market overnight.

The I phone is a phone. It has been innovated on a based purpose to join music and talking. I find the I phone is going to become a new popular toy for young and older people, because the i pod is extremly popular and fashionable.

I agree, the iphone is innovative on product experience level and definitely for Apple within its current IT portfolio. But I ask myself whether the iphone is still going to be innovative in the mobile industry when it is launched (here in Europe) next year... I guess the mobile manufacturers are not sleeping right now, and as Europe is a bigger market than the US... Not very clever to announce such a killer product one year in advance!
