I hate being an entrpreneur. Its hard work and full of risk. Give me a real job any day. I miss having a boss!
I think that you could distinguish three ages in which you start up your business: - very young (around 25) and have a brillant idea that you develop into a magnificant company. This is more the american way of life and - I think - less applicable in Europe - still young (around 40) you have already some life and professional experience, gathered some financial resources and eager to do something on your own - mature (around 50) with all the social plans in Europe a lot of managers are asked to leave their job in order to put a younger one. Many managers start their company and have also a large success Luxe
i´m 45 and I´m still feeling very motivated for business after 25 years. Thrue internet I have maid my skills & knowledge far mor better than first 25 years. Internet is thrue opportunity for entreperneaus, even from Finland which is away from central european.

Entrepreneurship is a real challenge, especially if you especially after 50 years. But it is passion
Freedom is the key to every thing else.
It would be interesting to see the average age when *starting*¨an enterprise.
A friend in Britain told me that at age 50, he could no ,ore get a job - always someone younger and cheaper to take the position. He was forced to start his own business - and had immediate success. Maybe entrepreneurs over 45 are forced into starting on their own?
I think in Spain we prefer to start our own business because it´s more fun ;) and working for a company sucks (low salaries, no health insurance, no training/courses etc. overtime is almost never paid...). Being selfemployed you work your ass off, but appears to be more rewarding. "Work in what you like and you won't work a day in your life (Confucius?)".
