Bigmouthmedia CEO is European Entrepreneur of the Year
Steve Leach, chief executive of Europe's largest digital marketing agency, Bigmouth, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year at the European Business Awards. Leach was chosen from among a field of competitors representing 25 of the 27 European member states. The judging panel identified him as having demonstrated exceptional vision and leadership qualities alongside an innovative approach that has been backed up by bigmouthmedia’s strong business performance.

The credit crisis will likely enhance the euro’s global prestige
Financial Times columnist Wolfgang Münchau demonstrates how the US credit crisis could accelerate the rise of the euro as the predominant global reserve currency. Entrepreneurial economist leads the field in carbon trading
The Wall Street Journal online offers this profile of Richard Sandor, a 66-year-old economist described as “a gregarious climate-change entrepreneur”. Sandor has lately emerged as a leader in the European carbon trading market. His London based company, Climate Exchange PLC, which handles about 90% of trades on European carbon exchanges, tripled revenues in 2007.
