A Passionate Approach to Investing

Passion Investments is pioneering a new approach to investing, which guides investors towards ventures that are close to their own hearts while at the same time offering good returns on investment. The rewards are more than just financial, often in surprising ways.

Traditional investing is all about return on investment. Indeed, it seems self-evident that the paramount, if not exclusive, concern for any investor is the potential for financial gain.

But nowadays many investors are looking to get more than financial returns.  Passion Investments has evolved to help clients invest their money in ways that can be as personally fulfilling as they are financially rewarding.

“Our products often provide the opportunity for our investors to realise their childhood dreams,” says Patrick Georges MD, the Coordinator of Passion Investments, who is also a neurosurgeon and professor of management at the Solvay Business School, in Brussels.

“We were looking for an approach that would allow our clients to invest in an area that is close to their hearts while offering a good return on investment,” says Head Manager Anne Denayer.

Founded ten years ago by a group of university professors who were looking for independent funding for themselves, Passion Investments has evolved into an enterprise that now offers dozens of investment opportunities to clients throughout Europe, in twelve distinct sectors, including vineyards, academia, museums, the film industry, and restaurants.

“Our products often provide the opportunity for our investors to realise their childhood dreams,” says Patrick Georges

Amen brother (or is it sister?)! This is what it's all about.

This is exactly the sort of investing that I'd love to be doing... if I had any cash to spare! Just now, everything I make is going back into my businesses (I have two startups). But this article was really refreshing to me, because it reminds me in a concrete way of exactly what I'm aspiring to as an entrepreneur - being able to invest more and more of my time, attention and resources into ventures that are potentially lucrative but also worthy and meaningful. Work hard and keep dreaming...
