A conversation with... Christian Rivadalla

Founder of more than 80 companies in 24 countries around the world, entrepreneur Christian Rivadalla has already taken the term “serial entrepreneur” to an extraordinary level. He describes himself as a “business author” who takes companies through every stage from conception to fruition.

Rivadalla got his start as an entrepreneur at age 21 when he quit his job and started a company (in his garage) to sell software that he wrote himself. In the years that followed, he created numerous systems for the hotel industry which were so successful that at one point they had 160,000 users per hour.

Most recently Rivadalla is the creator and CEO of Octogone Hotels, a chain of Moroccan-style luxury hotels and spas. We caught up with him at his hotel on the outskirts of Marrakech, where he spoke to us about the three essential principles of business success, empowering his employees, and not taking no for an answer.

Great videoformat! Fascinating person indeed. Regarding the 21 story. If X = your salary, you will very often find that you need to charge 3X as a consultant, just to stay (financially speaking) where you are. Certainly no overcharging there. Just using standard business rules.

An extremely interesting and fascinating person, a role model for all of us. If I had only half the energy and passion of Mr. Rivadella, I feel I could change the world! Not to mention, the actual video and production of the video is brilliant. Well done!
