Yes indeed, the market is evolving and e-recruitment is satisfying new and existing needs. I hope it didn't sound like I was blaming your industry for causing this trend. It starts off vice versa I believe; the market evolution creates business opportunities in most cases. But once those new business-models appear to be efficient, market-demand increases as a result of need-awareness among the early majority etc... the vicious circle of business-needs synergies. Who hasn't experienced headhunters calling them frequently on their personal mobile lately? And that is somewhat my fear for the coming future, just like I explained. The grass is always greener on the other side, in the short term. I'm very curious where HR 2.0 will take us. As for the happiness-CEO dilemma... youngsters have a point: you choose, you lose :-)

Hello Mr M
Thanks for your post! By the way, have a look at our brand new website, launched last week: www.xpertize.be :-)

I fully agree with your remark and I am also against a MTV workculture. But make no mistake, we are not the E-bay of the job! Even if we've automatized part of the sourcing process, essence of our job is to find a match between an employer and a job seeker. There is still a big part of human touch in what we do, this is a big part of our added value!
Now you're right, we are far from our dad's traditional carreer paths, i.e. 40 years in the same company. I think this is not a consequence of agressive headhunters or new e-recruitment channels, but more related to a "I want to be happy" attitude. Recent studies have shown that youngsters are more keen to fight for their happiness than for a CEO job. This leads to some changes/adjustments in their carreer...and good for them if an Xpertize or whatever can help them find their dreamy job! This is just an opinion ;-)

Very interesting business model. I heard about jobmeeters.com a few months ago and already felt a kind of local opportunity (I wasn't aware of local initiatives though). Quite an impressive roll-out by Xpertize. Well done.

But to be honest, shouldn't this trend be counterbalanced by a sort of "retention-model". As people are going to be sold as objects on the job-market more frequently, isn't there a need for a service that supports employees to keep growing at the current company. If youngsters are going to switch jobs like they browse TV-programs or websites, they're likely to become average at everything and good at nothing. I'm very afraid for an MTV workculture, or is this inevitable?
