Even if all the qualities are interesting, i chose ambition and personality. Indeed, for me, this two qualities are the most important to find one's niche in the business world and to distinguish oneself from the competition.

@ crik
I think that for a partner (in business terms) or for an entrepreneur personnel connections are very important (a good example of this is precisely this join2grow network), but for an employee it's more important to have the right (and not too much) personality.

Hi Crik, indeed, you have a point there. But I think that having (business) connections as such is a result of personality, ambition and performances. So yes it's very important, but not without the other higher-scoring characteristics. What do you think?

Isnt it a bit wried that not many people think personal connections is a important quality in this survey? or is that because i am an Asian?

I chose Hard Work, Personality and Something else....which was the ability to deal with and overcome conflict/work in a team. It's crucial.

I voted for personality because I can't work with someone if we don't go along well, especially in a close relationship like business partnership. Second choice is hard work, third ambition.

I chose education, personality and something else. In which education means having learned to think about your situation. Personality would encompass the strength to stand for what you think and mean. But also it would entail the ability to be flexible to leave your point of view, if the situation and information would so ask for. Something else should be the ability to take life as it comes and take it in its stride, without loosing your goal or perspective and your willingness to act correctly and ethically. You might say rather die standing, than try to kill the other guy, just because you think your ideas are better.

True passion is the ultimate factor for entrepreneurial business success.
Pure capabilities alone are only part of the equation. To be successful, a candidate must have a truly entrepreneurial mindset and be "contagiously" passionate about his or her work.
