Started : “ Eastern Europe Opportunities”
I am looking to reach out to other members at join2grow to get more insight and feedback on their experiences with Eastern Europe. I have not maximized the growth of my company in the UK (real estate investment), but I am looking diversify portfolio. Particularly interested in the Baltics and Balkans. Any insights, experiences, background you can provide would be most appreciated.

Hi venturecapUK, as you probably know, some of the crucial elements of a growing real estate market are the demand (> offer?), the purchasing power of the consumers and the long-term interest. For the first one you’ll probably need local insights but for macro-economic criteria like the last two, you should definitely visit www.oecd.org for info on Eastern European countries. I use this website frequently for any stats on European countries. Not all Balkan countries are in there, but it’s a start.

Hi, Finnish building companies are developing & selling apartments in Russia & Baltic.
Take a look from the internet these companies they all have operations "there"

The company which operations You should study is Auchan. They have ower 1.000 warehouse. And in Moscow Auchan is the best buy in many ways and in many locations. I have been based in Turkey over the past 15 years and seen dramatic growth in the market. We have just created the Secure Transaction Framework, a legal framework to support foriegn investment in property in Turkey. Would this be of interest to you?

I know Croatia, Bulgaria and Serbia. The most precious advice I could give: take your time to understand th local ****ture and their way of business. There are a lot of opportunities and also a lot of threats. I am in Bulgaria 29th of november, we could meet there or in Paris. Sincerely Geoffroy
